Paul R. Timler, Jr., PT, MTC

Co-Owner and Physical Therapist

Paul Timler graduated from the University of Florida Physical Therapy program in 1996 and has spent his career since that time working in a variety of settings, with a significant amount of time working in and managing busy outpatient orthopedic clinics around the country. His clientele has run from quadriplegics to professional athletes and everything in between. He has developed his treatment style to focus on manual therapy in conjunction with progressive exercises designed to target client-specific limitations, getting to the source of the problem and fixing it for good. He has had additional training in Postural Restoration,  Vestibular rehab and currently working toward certification in Dry Needling.
He met his wife Megan in 2009 and they traveled the country together after getting married in 2013, working in various settings with increasing frustration at the limitations of the current health care system. During this time they worked out their ideal vision of what would one day become FORGE Performance PT:  a place where they could utilize their skills and knowledge to help clients looking to achieve a higher level of optimal performance in their lives, providing the one-on-one care at the level our clients deserve.
In his free time Paul’s interests and hobbies include reading, strength training, Crossfit, training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, anything outdoors, and trying to get better at being an artist.

Megan C. Timler, PT, DPT

Co-Owner and Physical Therapist

Megan Timler is a Chicago-area native and graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Northwestern University in 2009.  She moved to Gainesville, FL after falling in love with the town and surrounding areas while on her final internship there, meeting her now husband Paul along the way.
After getting married they traveled the country together working in a variety of healthcare settings including hospitals, home care, and outpatient clinics.  Throughout her many years as a therapist Megan has worked with patients of all ages, abilities, injuries, and diagnoses.  She has additional training and experience working in Vestibular Rehabilitation, Postural Restoration, aquatic therapy, and orthopedics.  Where she shines the most is in functional work...helping people move better in their everyday lives using everyday movements as the guide, whether that's something as simple as doing laundry at home, or lifting heavy in a Crossfit class.
Megan has been a life-long athlete playing team sports such as softball, basketball, and volleyball as a young girl through high school.  As an adult she has become interested in many other activities and sports including hiking and camping, kayaking, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and strength training including Crossfit.
Megan has a passion for teaching and helping others become their best selves.
